We are an older couple who have bought and sold several homes through the decades as our family’s needs changed. A couple of those were new homes. Prior to purchasing our new HC Home, it was pretty much, hand you the keys at closing and point you towards your 10-year warranty for any significant issues. That is why it was so refreshing to work with HC Homes. The home plans are well laid out and nicely appointed with rich finishes and they allowed us to “tweak” their design in places to get the custom layout we wanted and they even made some great suggestions that we had not considered. After closing we got to live in our home for 30 days and make note of any issues, no matter how minor. It was such a joy working with the members of the build crew as they quickly worked off the few items we wanted addressed. Greg, Sallie, and Rick were our favorite team members. And they repeated this effort at the 1-year mark. That in my book is service above and beyond. I thought maybe this was a unique situation, but I found out later my brother had an HC Home built in another local community about 6 months prior to us. We shared experiences and found he had the same great treatment from an entirely different builder crew. This is a company that shows it has a culture of placing its home buyers front and center. Our 4-year-old HC Home is still such a joy to live in and we always recommend HC Homes to any of our friends who are thinking about a new home.

I love our HC Home for several reasons (other than it being just a beautiful house!) 1. We had an inspection done on our house and he remarked “it’s a well-built house”, which is always reassuring as sometimes builders take short cut’s. 2. During the walk through (and after closing) Sallie and Gregg were simply amazing! Their partnership in helping to make sure the house was in working order was reassuring. Several things to point out, I have a bit of OCD, so I wanted to make sure the house was clean after we moved in. I went to wipe the inside of the kitchen cabinet drawers and cabinets, and they were spotless! My white towels stayed white throughout all of the cleaning. During the walk through, there was a tiny chip on one of the tiles in the shower, I probably would have missed it for several months (LOL), but they called it out and told me they were going to repair it. It was NOT a simple fix and they could have easily turned a blind eye, but they didn’t! When I moved in, the tiny chip was gone, replaced with a new piece of tile. My husband couldn’t be there for the walk through, but Gregg proactively offered to do it again once my husband was able to. What a huge relief and a blessing as I forgot half of what was said! They truly went above and beyond and we are so happy with our HC Homes purchase. Thank you Sallie and Gregg!
